Does tyre racking need bolting down to the floor?
We always recommend that the racks are bolted down and include floor bolts with every order.
Bays with 4 or 5 levels may also require wall ties to increase the stability.
If I place an order what’s the lead time?
If you are installing yourself then the racking can be with you in just 3 to 4 days. If you require the H-Racks installation offer, then typically this can be commenced within 2-3 weeks of your order.
Do you come out and measure up my building?
Yes, we offer free on-site consultation and provide CAD drawings to demonstrate our recommendations.
How high can my racking be? How many storage levels can I have?
As long as the racking has been designed and installed correctly there really is no limit. The challenge is selecting the correct access equipment to reach the higher levels i.e. warehouse steps, man-up order picker or other MEWP (Mobile Elevated Work Platform)
Do I need to get planning permission to install a mezzanine floor?
If it is for your own storage or office accommodation purposes, then no you don’t. You should however follow the Building Regulation guidelines and H-Racks can advise you on these.
